Enhance Your Smile With Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry can fix chips, cracks, stains, and more.
A bright, healthy smile conveys happiness, confidence, and vitality. But if you're self-conscious about your smile because of missing, damaged, chipped, or stained teeth, you're not alone. Millions of people want to brighten their smile.
There is no solid line between restorative and cosmetic dentistry. All restorative dentistry will brighten your smile and most cosmetic dentistry serves a restorative and preventive purpose.
Fortunately, there are many options available today for restoring your smile. Cosmetic dentistry can fix a wide variety of dental problems, from crooked teeth to missing teeth to discolored teeth. It can also improve the overall look and feel of your smile.
If you're interested in improving your smile with cosmetic dentistry, we encourage you to learn more about the many options available to you. Or better yet, schedule a smile consultation with our practice so we can get to know you, your smile, and your goals better!
Professional teeth whitening is one of the most-loved cosmetic dentistry treatments in America.
At our family-friendly dental office, we offer a number of services to improve the look and health of your smile. One popular service is teeth whitening. Teeth whitening can remove years of staining and discoloration, leaving you with a bright, white smile. We are proud to offer free whitening for life to all of our Parmer Lane Family Dentistry patients.
We offer two methods of teeth whitening: in-office teeth whitening through Zoom! and at-home teeth whitening.
In-office teeth whitening with Zoom! is one of the fastest and more effective ways to whiten your teeth, and only takes around an hour to complete. At-home teeth whitening is a more gradual approach that can be done at your convenience using custom-fitted trays we measure you for at our dental practice.
Both methods are safe and effective, and we will work with you to find the best method for you. We also offer refills at each biannual appointment.
I have been a patient at Parmer Lane Family Dentistry over 10 years. Who can say you enjoy going to the dentist? I certainly can because Dr. Garcia is a wonderful dentist who is very caring and takes the time to answer any questions or concerns you may have. She and her staff are friendly and treat you like family. It's always a joy to walk through their doors.
Inlays & Onlays
Porcelain inlays and onlays restore damaged teeth.
Inlays and onlays are a more advanced form of cosmetic dentistry that is also restorative.
If you are in need of a more conservative restoration than a dental crown but something more advanced than a filling, porcelain inlays and onlays may be a good option for you. Inlays and onlays are made of ceramic material and are bonded to the tooth. They can be used to restore teeth that have been damaged by decay or fracture.
Inlays and onlays overlap cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Inlays and onlays are used in restorative dentistry and are a great option for people who do not need a dental crown. They are also a good choice for people who have a tooth that needs repair beyond what a filling can address.
However, inlays and onlays can also be used to address cosmetic concerns with your smile. They can whiten, lengthen, strengthen, and reshape your teeth. Your dentist can work with you to decide whether this is part of your smile makeover plan. Or perhaps onlays and inlays on their own are the little cosmetic smile makeover you need to smile with more confidence!
Our porcelain inlays and onlays are strong and durable and can last for many years.
Our Philosophy of Care is Built on
Veneers aren’t only for movie stars! They help with a wide range of problems.
Similar to onlays and inlays, veneers are used for both cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Perhaps more common, they can address things like cracks and chips, yellowing, and wear. But they can also reshape your teeth to be more even, straighter, and whiter.
Veneers are thin, custom-shaped pieces of ceramic material that are bonded to the front side of your teeth by your dentist.
Not only can porcelain veneers fix teeth with cracks, chips, discoloration, or uneven wear, they are excellent for straightening crooked teeth, which can protect your teeth from uneven wear. Veneers are also useful for people who have undergone root canal therapy.
If you are interested in improving your smile with porcelain veneers, Dr. Garcia can provide a consultation.
Porcelain crowns are the most popular restoration, because of their natural luster.
Cosmetic dentistry serves to restore your teeth in the most beautiful way possible. And dental crowns are no exception! Crowns can turn cracked, discolored, broken, or damaged teeth into the most naturally beautiful smile imaginable.
We offer porcelain, zirconia, and gold crowns, and we can explain to you the pros and cons of each. Porcelain and zirconia are both known for their natural look, so if you want your new dental crown to have that perfectly natural beauty, that’s what we’ll recommend.
Porcelain Fixed Bridges
Never leave an empty gap in your mouth, or your teeth will start shifting.
If you are missing one or more teeth, you may be a candidate for a porcelain-fixed bridge. A fixed bridge is a dental restoration that replaces missing teeth. The bridge is anchored in place by two or more crowns, which are placed on the teeth adjacent to the empty space.
Porcelain-fixed bridges are made of ceramic material and can last for many years.
Clear aligners are more convenient than metal braces, and they’re nearly invisible.
Invisalign is a great option for people who want to straighten their teeth in a way that is more convenient and comfortable than straight-wire braces. But the main reason people choose Invisalign is that it's nearly invisible! Many adults who didn't get the benefit of orthodontics in their childhood or teenage years enjoy the discretion of getting straighter teeth without metal brackets.
Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, clear aligners that gradually shift your teeth into place without the need for metal brackets or wires.
Invisalign can be worn during most types of activities, but can be easily removed for eating and drinking. Invisalign only needs to be in 22 hours a day, so you have the option to take Invisalign out for important family photos, special events, or to clean your aligners.
If you are interested in Invisalign, our dentist can provide a consultation.
Full Smile Makeover
Our dentists will work with you to create the perfect smile makeover for you.
A smile makeover is a way for you to completely transform your smile. It usually consists of a carefully selected and customized set of restorative and cosmetic dental procedures. Your dentist will tailor a smile makeover for you based on your goals and needs.
A full smile makeover can include porcelain veneers, crowns, inlays and onlays, implants, whitening, orthodontics, and more.
The type of treatment your dentist recommends will depend on the condition of your teeth and gums, your personal goals, your personality, your smile goals, and the current health of your smile. A smile makeover is a very personal decision and should be fully customized! No two smiles are alike, and no two smile makeovers are the same.
If you are interested in exploring options for a full smile makeover with our team at Parmer Lane Family Dentistry, we would be happy to help!
