Meet Your Dentists
Lucinda A. Garcia, DDS
Dr. Lucinda A. Garcia’s passion for dentistry began as a teenager when she volunteered as a translator on dental mission trips to Mexico. During these trips, she was moved by how dentistry had such a positive impact on people’s lives. Recognizing her interest, the missionaries encouraged her to seek a mentor in the field so she could pursue a career in dentistry.
Two of her older brothers were already dentists, and today, there are four dentists in Dr. Garcia’s family. Dr. Garcia graduated from the Baylor College of Dentistry in 2003 and built her own practice in Austin, serving the community since 2006. Dr. Garcia has a family-focused approach. She takes the time to truly get to know her patients and values being part of their milestones—whether weddings, graduations, or other family celebrations. Patients often remark that she treats them like family, and that warm connection has always been at the heart of her practice. Dr. Garcia also enjoys sharing stories about her own life, including raising two boys. She loves connecting with parents about the joys and challenges of family life.
Today, Dr. Garcia is excited to lead the practice into the future. Parmer Lane Family Dentistry is going digital and embracing state-of-the-art AI technology to improve accuracy, efficiency, and patient comfort. From digital scans to advanced treatment planning, these innovations allow the team to deliver even more precise, comfortable, and personalized care. At the same time, we keep the family-centered feel that our patients know and love.
Hermann Hinze, DMD
Dr. Hinze is a gum and implant periodontist. He obtained the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Certificate at Fort Carson, Colorado, and practiced general dentistry overseas and at Fort Gordon, Georgia, before obtaining his degree in periodontics. Dr. Hinze has been practicing periodontics here in Texas since 2005. He was also the head of the periodontal program for two years in the AEGD Program at Fort Hood, Texas, from 2006 to 2008.
Dr. Hinze is skilled at tooth extractions, dental implant placement, bone grafting, crown lengthening, gum disease and gum recession treatments, and treatment for periodontal disease. He is a member of the Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osteointegration, American Dental Association, Capitol Area Dental Society, and the Hispanic Dental Society of Austin. Dr. Hinze has published an article in the Academy of General Dentistry Journal, as well as several articles in the Clinical Journal of Academy of Periodontology.
Outside the dental office, Dr. Hinze enjoys outdoor sports, looking after his personal health and nutrition, and traveling. He also loves spending time with his puppy, Sasha.
